Description

The Gas station business is a very competitive market: In the early 90s we had 99 Cent Gas Wars on 11th Street in Rockford, IL. As store manager: I changed the damn sign 10 times in one day. MANUALLY lol all over the world in cold areas like ours I'm sure CSM's bowed down giving thanks & praise the day their stores received it's first digital gas price sign. I don't know how many co-workers have been hit in the head with flying price signs over the years. It was an occupational hazard at one point. Anywho --- during the "Gas Wars" the lowest we got down to was 49 Cents A Gallon. All hell broke loose at that price, an every station got too busy to fight about it. The following morning, we all returned to 99 Cents. I personally was sore as hell, an thanked my lucky stars my gas guy at Marathon in Enon, Ohio was off his ego trip. But I have always loved it that busy, no matter what business I'm in.
